it was a sudney company and the product was produced in oz. they were around for a while then fell off hte earth. have a friend who used them. thought they were great and handy as they would just deflate and be stowed away. i think they tried marketing direct but at some stage i am pretty sure they went thru some one like demtel or home shopping to sell them.

Thats whats on the Notch..formerly the Beetle. Pretty cool. I bought it at a swap meet, disassembled it, painted it and whacked it on. Didn't like it much at first, but it has grown on me.

Rhettro also has one like mine.

Heres a pic for ya,

theres two mounting clamps that hold it to the gutters, and 4 suction cups.

My sister just got her new roof rack back from the powder coaters today, its not a portarack but very similar she bought new white suction cups from clark rubber for about $8 ea.

Ive been meaning to cut off the excess that pokes thru just havent got around to it yet, its like that because my rack is set fairly wide so the brackets only need to be short. my sister just bought new white cups from CLARK RUBBER, for $8ea

thats cool, i could only find black ones
i will hunt around but maybe they only sell them in VIC, i hav found some hardware stores only selmparticular colours in other states for some reason.
yep, cutting off the excess is a good idea, did u put some padding or hav rubber under the brackets to protect the paint too?

If you want I could probably get some for ya.

Didn't worry about the rubber under the bracket, I built my car to use as a daily hack, so I show the scratches with pride!
