Which carbs (IDF-DCNF)
Thas right,if you had a choice of brand new carbs to go on a dualport would you go for IDFs or DCNFs assuming they were the same price WHICH THEY
ARNT,this is for general knowledge so dont ask for engine specs DUDES,and yes its a 100% street car daily driver.MerryXmas.:P |

I would go for IDF's. As far as i know DNCF's were a earlier version (?)
The progression and float design is much better with IDF's.
Parts are heaps easier to find
In the 60 and 70's Berg did a version of the DNCF that improved the carb - but i dont think the IDF was around to compare it to.

Speaking Of DCNF's, I'm after a linkage setup for twin DCNF carbs on a type 1 Beetle. I can't seem to find any, or will some other type
of carby linkage fit a DCNF?

Highly unlikely you'd get any DCNFs new now, they're very old school (60s-70s) - BUT as for a comparison, from memory DCNFs were straight
"pumpers" while IDFs are "progressives" - smoother power and probably better fuel economy (depending on right foot). Also better
parts availability.
