those are the belts that came standard in the front of all the 70s VWs arent they? is yours an earlier one? maybe you can simply pickup one out of a
later T3 and retrofit it to the mounts of your current seatbelts?

I fitted them to my 56 Beetle but there a pain in the arse as they tighten up when ever you go over a bump in the road.

both the 72 fasty and 73 wagon i have seen only had fixed belts.the original bolt position is too close to the bulkhead below the rear seat .

They came in about 75 or 76 down here. I dont trust them, so I dont have them in my bug.
