Overseas Buying and Selling threads
I suspended the JJ thread as page six contained nothing but insults and threats and added nothing to the argument.
I think we all have a pretty good idea of everyone's position now, anyway.

G'Day Andrew,
Good!
Before I found this site
I was watching a US VW Site.
It seems they're most interested in
what others think of them
BECAUSE they own/Drive a VW.

Oh, Andrew! No fair! I'd only just posted my reply that "Perhaps someone could sabotage the fuel tanks with shredded ham." I thought
page 6 finally brought some lighheartedness to the thread, someone responded perhaps SPAM!

Back on topic????
This seemed to right place to ask this question.
Ok. I'm just about to go back to the UK to sell my house and ship all of my stuff over (To Adelaide), including my Ghia project and my '59 Vespa
scooter.
The Ghia is Rolling but is completely disasembled - everything is finished just not asssembled.
The scooter is restored.
Niether are registered in the UK.
Does anyone know what customs implications I might face in shipping them to Adelaide? am I liable for import duty? (after all they are mine - shipped
here for my own use) Is the fact that they are not UK registered a problem? is they fact that the Ghia is in parts a problem?
Any info would be greatly appreciated, or maybe just a point in the right direction so I can go find out for myself.
Thanks in advance.
Mick.

you should be right as long as you have clear title and if you have owned the said vehicles for greater than a one year period in the uk you wont have
to pay import duty as best to my knowledge what model is your scooter i just sold my tv 200 lambretta and my 60 vespa primavera

I have suspended the Northern NSW wreckers thread as it had zero redeeming value, full of unsubstantiated rumor and crap and more to the point was
potentially defamatory.
Until CKD assembly came here, we had no native VW's - they were all *imported* here, and after Clayton closed, again, we've had nothing but imported
VW's. You can't have it in a single way, or else we'd have no VW's at all. The only VW's that are *ours* are the ones we own. Get your hands out
of your pockets if you care so much.
No more "sending *our* VW's overseas" threads.
Andrew
