There is a link on http://www.superbeetlesonly.com where this has been
done.
It looks GREAT
BUT.........................
There are a lot of holes that need to be welded up.
I will try and find where it is. You cant post a link to that site - but i think it is in Tech articles
Just get a dash mat.
Luckily the car i bought a little while ago has a new dash :bounce
I talked to the bloke and it is a BIG job to change over.
Definitely not something you would do after work one day

it looks great. i did it to my safari yellow 73 and the holes were not too bad. depends if you want it looking showroom or just neat. you do (or i did
however) need to respray the ashtray, glovebox lid and speaker grills either side of speedo. i would show you a photo but i sold it alittle while ago.
- made a $300 profit and it was hardly running. dont know but i think it was the dash upgrade as the old one (padded) was crusty

p.s.
they are a bit of an effort to get out as there are nuts behind the dash that are often concealed.

There's normally nuts behind the wheel that aren't concealed enough.
