How would they bolt on? Would you use air cylinders instead of your shocks?
Would have to see them, but would be interested.

Would it be safe to have the whole weight of a bus on the shock mount? I would've thought that would put too much pressure on the bolt, and may sheer it off.
Would like to see some pics though if you can find some.

Dom, you gotta learn a few things about bags first. I have a kit for the bug, type three is different set up at the front. the only guy that has made some is Bert in belgium (i think) Daniel, you would need a full custom front beam for the bus, as having all your weight on the shock mount is not advisable. Obviosly the rear of a type 3 and a bug are the same, so the bug erar kits will work, but the front is a totally different story. Sleds might be heavy, but the have A arm front suspension, so a little stronger, and also they are all rebuilt usually with the chassis z framed, and the like....Air Suspension is not as easy as it sounds....

What Am Idoing today, Im at work...

As for that pic, That there is not "bolt on". Firstly you would have to IRS your bus, and then make new Upper shock and Bag mounts. And that is just the start.

I thought it was sounding a bit too easy to bag my bus.
It's going low soon with an IRS and 4in narrowed front, but bags would be the ultimate.
There are a few people in the states developing kits for T2's, might have to email them again to see how those are coming along.

Cause My Name Is Nectar! And if youve got a type 3, the beams are totally different to a type 1 beam...
That there set up also isnt your bolt on type. That would cost you quite a bit in fabrication.

The thing you must remember is that you will need Dropped spindles and a narrowed front beam with most of the kit form ones....

Daniel, my thoughts were similar.

Narrow the beam of the bus, which I have heard is easier than Beetles, but haven't crawled under to look at why. 4 inches sounds like a lot, and I understand it is the maximum, or close to, for a bus beam.

I am putting a type 3 rear end in it, so as Nectar said, the Beetle kit could go in there. I guess it is just the money and engineering stopping me.
