spring return on 28pict carbie


the 28pictcarb has no spring return, how do i rig one up, can ne1 help me with it ?

From memory, the stock one is a simple coil spring.
Try the wreckers if your close to one, or many bolt places/hardware stores have a range of springs. Sure to have one close.

Andy is correct. The early carbs had a simple coil spring approx 9mm dia 150mm long that fitted over the accel cable between the fan housing and the butterfly lever.
You can make a bracket similar to the later carbs that will use the normal spring.

Go and get a stock spring, clip, accelerator tube and spring retainer tube that goes through the fan housing or come and see me and i will find one for you.

if you have one dave, ill get dad to swing past on his way home from work and grab it, he works in belmore, if it meand hours of searching under your house in the parts depot, then ill save your knees and go visit lee at volkshaven.
