Country Buggy

Well I finally got around to taking some photos of my buggy, now that it is on the road. The motivating factor was to photo the buggy that I got off brad before it gets some much needed attention. Originally my brother wanted Brads C/B, until he saw the work that was needed, and hence now I have two.

It only took an hour or so to get the doors and roof off to expose the standard buggy body (if you could call it that).

Whilst it looks bad, I am thinking that it is salvageable, probably wouldnt be viable to pay someone to do restore it though. Have to do a lot of metal work, which is good, cause I could do with the welding practise. Can see it being a good winter project.

And whilst I am here, the new buggy didn't come with any running gear, so if anyone knows where I could source a CB front and rear end, that would be good...otherwise it will sit on a raised beetle pan.

Having a complete CB will progress things a great deal, as I can fabricate panels etc from the good one.. (that is the theory, whether it works or not is another thing)

Gezz
That buggy gets around fairly well for not having any running gear. It's changed owners 4 times in the last 3 to 4 months.
Looks different with the roof of

Ben Duries buggy is still available.
Not as much rust in it as the green one, It's already been sand blasted. has all the running gear including the motor.Unsure of the condition of the motor. Would make a good project for your Bro.
Ben has got $1,500 on the price tag but i think if you ask him nicly he will reduce it a little. Here is some photo's of Bens.

C/Buggy

Yeah the red one is mine, you may have seen photos of Bill Moores CB which was taken over to Germany. They are the same colour, but Bills was (is) a lot nicer.
Am still trying to chase down some bits locally, without having to go to N/Castle to get the bits, am still in the planning phase so dont know what will happen with the green one just yet.

But if anyone wants a CB roof and doors, then let me know..

Did I read somewhere that the CB of Bens doesn't have the original pan, what pan is in it then ?

Will give him a call when I know what I am doing.

The roof and doors will also fit a landrover, seeing as though thats what they came of.

what is it with country buggies.... for a car with such a low production there seems to be an awful lot around. not that that is a bad thing....
