VMA problems

dear editor
i asked my newsagent to ring NDD to order in some copies of the mag about 3 weeks ago. i went in today to get it and she said NDD hav never heard of the magazine. they checked all their databases and everything and hav no listing for it. they searched all vw magazines and other distributors vw magazines, they said it did not exist. i got them to call ndd again in front of me today and she confirmed it still isnt listed.
wat could be the problem and how can u help? do u know wat newcastle newsagents recieved the magazine?
thanks
sam

Hi Sam,

Bit of a mystery.

It is distributed by NDD and it is on the shelves. I have personally checked three newsagents that I requested NDD to deliver to today. There's copies on the shelf.

Newcastle was also included in the custom list, with some specific newsagent locations.

I'll call my NDD agent today and get some more answers for you.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

Cheers

Craig

just got my copy from my local newsagent , I had asked him for it a couple of weeks ago and it arrived today.
Congrats on the issue, very good.
Also saw about 6 copies in another local shopping center today.

Can we have it every 2 months instead of every 3.

Cheers

Hi Dave,

The question of bi-monthly or quarterly was one which I had to consider before launching the mag.

As you by now know, this magazine is pretty much a one man show, and as such, is a careful juggle between producing each issue and maintaining my sanity.

I want the magazine in the first twelve months to develop into the best package I can deliver. To do this a quarterly format was chosen. Next year I can review this position.

Until then, read each issue slowly so that it lasts till the next one.

Cheers

Got mine in Nowra today, they only had 2 copies, so I bought both.

It's been a long wait, but well worth it, fantastic and a good spread of different cars.

Waiting for the next one!!!

Sam,

You can also try Shop 8 Market Town Shopping Centre, Cnr King and National Park Streets, Newcastle. Ph: 02 4929 2871. I'm not sure whether this is close, but there are copies there.

And a '62 Kombi is planned for Issue#2. Should be as good as Zsolt's.

Hi Guys,

I am visiting both SA and WA in March. I physically ran out of time last issue to get there. I had spoken to the businesses in both states about this and they were fine with it. They understood the constraints involved.

There will be a cool Karmann from WA and a couple of cars from SA. I'm looking forward to visiting both states.

Cheers

ps You will have noticed a slight name change to VWMA. There will be an official post next week regarding this change. Suffice to say for the moment, it was not my choice to do so, but things have a way of working out for the better. I'll fill you in shortly.

Air Cooled Only.....

I picked up My copy from the Scone Newsagents today... great work and the quality of the paper is tops.
Congratulations Craig. I hope it continues to be published. One thing I am NOT interested in though is late model VWs..
Air Cooled only.... although I see that VW had the back cover advertising, so that must have helped with the publication costs. So I suppose I will just have to put up with the water cooled VWs, I just won't read them... Better to have One VW magazine than none!!!
