Whats the coolest thing you found in your new purchase?

the dodgey repairs thing reminded me of some cool stuff that I have found over the years in cars I have bought.

a '63 morris 1100 I got for $100 from work (who got it off the original owner more or less) had a newspaper under the spare tyre (original tyre too) which was dated '68. that was a good read!

a '76 lancer parts car had over $50 in coins under the back seat. That meant half my $$$ back on the $100 purchase :D

an abandoned milko's van dumped outside school in the bushg back in the early '90's had $30 in coins and a pieere cardan watch under the driver's seat...

large bladed Machete under the seat!!

You fellows are just plain LUCKY...
All I can ever remember finding was a large bladed "Machete" as used in Jungles under the drivers seat of a Mitsubishi L300 I owned years ago.
I didn't find it for a long time.. It was in its leather case too... the previous owner wasn't going to be car jacked!!! or Van Jacked!! if He was, it probably would have been by a one armed man!!!
:D

In the back of my splitty

I found a set of roller blades, a brand new set of mudflaps, a frying pan, a pillow, $30 in coins and an old schooner glass.

And then I opened the rear drawers to find the original awning set in great condition.

Couldn't believe my luck!!

Cheers

Steve

hahaha!! I found a full baggie of grass under the dash of a mazda 1300 I got for parts for the gf's (at the time) car.

It looked a little too dry for smokin' so I missed out on finding what the craze (haze?) was all about.

My first bus, a 62 that I still own today, had boxes of NOS parts in it. Everything you could imagine. It was a great day. I bought it for $1000 and it had about that much in the rear in parts! As well as some parts that I still can't identify.
