can I remove the bumpers from my 62 bug ?


and not get a licky on the glass ? is this allowed in WA ? can I can I
it looks good with them off .I will make some postes to replace them .

Of course you can remove the bumpers and replace them with posts! To preserve vehicle balance, you should also remove the shock absorbers and convert the doors and engine lid to 'suicide' operation.

I got a canary on my bug and took it over without bumpers and passed!. Mind you they might have been blinded with everything else that was illegal! hehe

No Bumpers are OK in WA..


I read not long ago that its lgal to have no bumpers in WA...
I believe they are illegal in most other states, but there are lots of Beetles on the streets everyday with NO Bumpers attached.... there are 3 semi-locals who haven't had bumpers on for years and they are daily drivers....
I like the protection of Bumpers... it may not be much, but its better than nothing..
