Hot day in Brissy
I happened to chose today to go from Brisbane to Sunshine coast in the kombi - bad move as it was 38 degrees coming back at midday. It was HOT!!!
Had to take it real easy with the van to keep it cool ie 80-90km/hr with a stop on the way, oil temp getting to approx 118 deg.
But bugger me, here i am trying to take it easy and another kombi (approx 1972 model bay) flys past me at 110km/h +.
Looked like a couple of backpackers - obviously not concerned about their VW and the heat.
I didn't see any external oil coolers or radiators - so it looked like and i assume it was a standard air cooled vw.
I was wondering how far they were going and if they would make it.
What do you reckon?
