Good times!
Hi only me  , hang on , need to move that rock i've been
hiding under . This is a serious post for a change and will no doudt recieve as many replies as my last post to 'the ladies' out there in
dub land.
After having a great day at Bulli and then coming home and reading some of the replies to my post got me thinking. Started to think what it is thats
kept me "aircooled" for over 15 years and hooked on VW's. Well firstly there's the actual car , for me it's a bug. Just love
everything about them! Then it has to be the scene that goes with it. Now i can only talk about the uk scene from about the mid 80's til now as
i'm only just finding out about what it's like in OZ. The people have been great , some wicked times , crazy things happened . Been to so
many good shows and drag meets etc the whole thing has been a blast and i can honestly say my best times , fondest moments have been VW related .
It's been a really good laugh with really nice people. The main thing is we always had fun unlike alot of other car owners meetings.
Since being on this forum i have tried to get involved , post alot , ask daft questions , give my opinion if asked and try to be as social as i can by
arranging meets, supporting others etc. All good! My post regarding cool chicks ( Ozzy word , not mine!) was actually a follow on from another post
raving on about heaps of girls on the forum. My post meant to rattle the cage abit to get a response from all the ladies out there. That was the idea
of the cheeky wind up. I knew that it would provoke some interesting reading but to be honest i'm gob smacked , AGAIN ! The again bit i'll
explain in a mo but please find some of the comments that have been emailed to me.

I could go on but i won't , think you get the idea. Personaly i think this sucks and that the people that have spoke this way are complete drama
queens and should get a clean mouth. How anyone can react like this to a light hearted poke is beyond me. I know the VW crowd is a mixed one , young ,
old etc but......As i said i knew it would provoke ladies into posting but to be spoken to the way i have clearly shows that this forum may not be
for me after all. Boy there are some man haters (Danny haters) out there in Oz vw land and i sure found them, evryone of them i reckon!
Now the "again" bit explained. Not long after i first joined the forum i posted out a daft few words regarding my 67 bug , all in good taste
and cleanly written ( no written swear words) . Here it is ,please read it.
MONEY SUCKING DIRTY OLD RIDE!!
It had to start sooner than later. Everyone i know has told me that it would , told me i wouldn't keep my hands off her and leave her alone for
more than 5 mins. She's to old for you but totally untouched they say , you'll be mad !! In the back off my mind i know i'm doing wrong
but i can't resist the urges when i see her. I have magazines everywhere and i can't get off the net , spending hours upon hours jumping
from site to site , thinking what i'm going to do with her. Her perfect white body , curves like you wouldn't believe. It's getting too
much though, she constantly wants more and more and i'm selling things around me just to keep her sweet. For the guys reading this what the hell
shall i do? . If i don't look after her we're going to split up and someone else will be getting the ride of their lifes. I have only spoke
to one other guy that knows her and whats been going on between us since we've met. From what he says though i'm really F*CKED ! He said
there's no hope for me and things won't ever change. I'm sorry about this but i have to face my truths , Guys I've got
"CAL-LOOK FEVER" !!!!!!!!!!!! HELP ME , PLEASE SOMEONE , ANYONE , FOR THE LOVE OF CHRIST PLEASE HELP!..............
I'm getting my 67 bug back tomorrow after having the front lowered. On Sat it gets the 135's. Can't wait to see it . Sorry just got
abit excited about seeing my car tomorrow , what else did you think i was on about?.

As yopu can see a very excited danny , being a dickhead fool looking forward to getting some work done on my car.From that I also had some replies and
mails back that were also in the same vein i.e buy a porno you sad c*nt , get a life dickhead etc. I started this post off by telling you all why i
drive a VW , it's been fun , great times and full of happy people that new how to enjoy themselves. I'm sorry guys but all i try and do is
raise a smile if i can , we all need that. However for someone to call me a "fu*ing idot pommy cun* " after a post , any post is way over
the mark for me. Think i'll stick to the tecnical and show dates section and keep my vw thoughts to myself. I know the written word can be taken
in a few different ways and what you type may not be the same as you really meant it to sound like but brothers and sisters to reply to someone in the
way some have have just been plain out of order. If thats a picture of what a "cool vw chick" sounds like in Oz i think i better start going
down Oxford St from now on!
I'm sorry this has been abit of a downer but i wanted you to know what some of the replies were like and how many uptight , miserable twonks
there are out in your so called happy vw community!
I will be at the Nats wearing a "Danny boy 67" t shirt and if any of you want to repeat in front of me what you wrote in your emails ,
i'll more than gladly have a chat with you anytime. However If you can't find me i'm being chased up the strip by 50+ Danny haters.

i thought you were looking for heartfelt women, with good solid body, minds and souls. looking for one with a sense of humour and beauty more than
jsut skin deep.

and thats why i posted the pic of my lady and ride.
maybe danny, those that responded to you harshly actually have issues within them selves. i dont think it matters what community that they might be
from, whether it be vw or other. dont let it get ya down mate. i love ya and if i see ya shirt i will give ya a hug, and ill shout ya a beer. but i m
not letting ya near me woman , as you seem a man who knows exactly

Danny I can honestly say that my missus will give you a kiss :kiss even iff you dont get those free BRM's for her.
I think everyone should hug more, smile more and cruise more.
When I get cut off in traffic, I smile and think oh well they are past me and on their way now. Gone. If I beep or get agro, they feed off it. I just
smile & wave. Seems to get them all confused.
I'm not a pinko celery eater, just a decent guy who likes to take everything with a grain of salt.

I know my opinion isn't really worth $hit but everyone is entitled to their $0.02.
I saw the smiley and figured it was a bit of a cage rattler but I agree that text can be taken in an entirely different manner to spoken words. I have
received and I am sure written emails that have been taken the wrong way because sarcasm is really hard to portray.

i'm not going to buy into any arguements, namely coz i haven't been around long enough but i will say:
that post is legendary! it completely summs up how i feel about my car. cept i'll never get cal-look fever. it's chrome all the way for me

I thought that your post about your car was well written - don't let a few negative comments get you down. There are too many people out there
that have just one aim in life - to spoil others fun.
When it is all said and done - no-one was physically injured or worse off than before it was done, so no harm done.
The amount of agro on this forum at the moment is a concern - everyone take a couple of deep breaths and smile
