buying a 77 microbus 2ltr twin solexs"anygood"

its a 77 owned last 10 years by a fitter and turner
seems very straight average to good paint very
clean inside reco 2 ltr with twin solexs solid suspension, no rust underneath all boots etc look new he claims to care 4 it like his child but got a steal on a 91 caravelle he couldnt resist,
electronic fuel pump motor looks brand new starts
even when he soaked it with the hose he wants $2500 9 months rego is that a good price

Does it have seats ????

Just tell him those water cooled dubs are GREAT! :D (just stirrin)

That aint bad. It is a work vehicle - right??

So i guess paint etc aint that important.

What about rust???
Sliding door solid???
No pops or farts from the exhaust??
Stays in gear??
Breaks work??
Hand brake???

Nothing really wrong with the solexes - i have them but would prefer Webers. (better economy)

Mate - it has 9 mths rego

Cant go to far wrong

If it feels right and suits your purposes.....

There has been a couple of sub $1000 steals lately but they didnt have rego.
Not too far off what you are looking at.

Use a magnet to test for bog EVERYWHERE - if it passes that test, it sounds like it's worth the money.
