What the ????
A friend came across this in his travels.
It is some ones attempt at creating a vw powered Ride On Mower.
It is a little scary if you ask me.

Interesting setup. I've been thinking of a similar idea myself, but something more 'conventional', with a VW motor.

It is a very crude set up. They have cut a hole in the side of the gear box and have two levers to select gears. The main linkage has been replaced
with a shaft to drive the blades.
What scares me is that it would in theory, be capable of producing over 100km's an hour, with rotating blades on the front and no brakes. Nothing
to slow you down!

Kruzin Kombi,
I,m going to have a go at building a similar thing. In the latest edition of Vw Trends, there is a small tractor that has been built with a vw motor
and box. Worth having a look as he has done a good job of it.

Some guy came to Townsville about 6 years ago and bought ALL the VW stuff(boxes/motors) from the wreckers. He spent 1 month here and bought all
VW's for sale in the papers and stripped them of their boxes and motors. Was from the NT apparently and was using the bits to build
slashers/mowers. Could not keep up with demand. Also raided Cairns. Ruined it for the rest of us trying to put em back together.......:cussing

We have a fella at our local school that bought the school mower that was always unreliable and fitted a 1200 industrial motor to it in place of the
crappy air cooled one that was on it.It is one of those hydrolic driven ones. The 1200 runs the hydrolic pump with heaps to spare. He said it's
now the best mower that he has ever had and he should know as he has had a lot of mowers at the school over the years.
