can anyone help me?

Hi everybody, i'm new here and i just recently bought a 1970 vw beetle and it's my first one. Unfortunatly for us, we basically got screwed over when we bought this bug. The car was suppose to be sold with a rwc and rego and in vgc. When the truck pulled up yesterday we noticed that the car was not in vgc at all. The rwc is invalid as it is 2 months old, there is rust in the body everywhere including a huge rust hole under the drivers side gaurd and i do believe there is rust in the chassis. We spent $3800 on this car thinking it was in vgc with rwc and rego only to find that it's not the case at all. Does anyone know what we can do as i don't have a job as i have a hurneia and my other half lost her job the day after we bought the car. Somebody please help us!!!!!:cry

how have u taken it up with the seller? U hadn't transfered all the money prior did u? sometimes these things happen, and trust is smashed. is a pity, cause a $3800 dub is suppose to be of dam good shape!

U get enough people together , u will be alright, alot of dubbers in SE-QLD, with all the tools... grinders, welders, compressors, spray guns + those with experience too...

I'm sure people are willing to lend a hand.

well i'm in home hill near townsville so i guess i'm a long way for anybody to help me. i got all the reciepts for the sale of the car aswell as the rwc which is frudulant. We sold a 2000 model hyundai to get this car only to be wacked in the face you might say. The car needs alot of work if it's to be in very good condition. I haven't got much money left out of $5500 after buying the car and paying for transport costs. I think i've got all of $600 left to work with and not having a job doesn't help matters either. Anyway here is a pic of the car that the seller sent me.

If u still need a hand then i wud be most happy to come by and see what i can do as i most probably will stay a few days at a time. very encouraging words gerbie
thats what we all had to do and continue to LEARN

1).list black beaty's probs other than rust and state what u can do
2). or if u can follow a repair manual (can send one)

3).take pics of the problem area and pst up here or e-mail bajachris to post (sos man..chris)

maybe one at a time and we will see who will be a local helper.
Prob 1 or 2 at the army base who can weld plus one or2 dubbers there (i will e-mail one)
I also have an engineer friend in T'ville i will ask.

cheers as this should give u some hope
take care

hey jye if ya up this way and want to help i will let ya stay here for a few days. Our place that we rent ain't big but the lounge is comfy.I don't feel comfortable driving this bug to t'ville as i don't think i would make it there, I will take photo's of the rust aswell as interior and put them on here.A local p/beater here that knows me really well said he could do the rust work and all that and told me i could work it off so to speak. As for the mechanical side of things ummmm don't know much about the motors but if i had a manual to work from i reckon i could fix a few things. If i had a bit of money i could do lots more lol.

Hi Scott

I was wondering if you could fix or maintenance bug engine/rust or etc. coz I'm think to buy a bug soon.
I live near in Anandale where is not too far from JCU. It is a little way out in this town to find a mechanic.

P.S. I called at your given no. and left you voice message
