Lost keys

Hi all,

This is a cry for help:(

On our club run to Kingscliff (just over the border into NSW for those of you who are not sure where it is!) we stopped in one of the beachside parks and had a wander along the beach. We really didn't cover that much area as the beach was littered with debris from the recent storms/floods. Apon returning to the cars we discovered that my keys to my '63 Bug had 'vanished' (or remained on the beach:bounce). After a couple of hours of searching the area we covered we were unable to find them :(

My question for you is: does anyone own a metal detector that I could borrow for a couple of hours to try to find these keys, or does anyone know of a business that hires metal detectors for a reasonable price?

I do have a spare set of keys for the car (thankfully - as we tried to pick the lock on the shift lock - impossible!) but I would really like the lost set back as they had my club membership keyring and an original key blank that I was about to have cut to suit my car - more sentimental value I 'supose, but still....

Any help greatly appreciated.
