Plan it in, its worth it just for the Saturday night session.
The parking in Nambucca heads on Saturday is great, wall to wall dubs for at least 200m.

Anyone heard from Robo (and Pige) lately??

Bob and I will be there for sure, wouldnt miss Valla for the world!

Would be good to drag Heather out and dust off the cobwebs but lately she has been less mad VW lady and more crazy greyhound dog lady.

I miss her posts on AVD, but her updates on Facebook always keep me amused! :tu:

Heather and Thor were worth the price of admission to Valla alone.

Yes I am still alive fellow VW people.
Work, 2 demanding 20 somethings, a Teenage girl, extended family, Jodie (my wife/boss) running a childcare centre and doing a uni degree as well, sporting endeavours, and a 57 year old woman(Pige) have kept me and my stress levels very busy.
The two older daughters have finaly flown the coup but I seem to be doing more for them now than when they were at home.
I was woring 6 days a week until recently, with the two older girls gone the power bill has decreased by a substantial amount (no more 30 minute showers, hair straighteners (2300w) and blow dryers(1500w) and my food bill, I think we were feeding half of their school friends! So I have been able to give the sat job up.
I have not been to any shows for over a year. I drive Pige to meet up with her younger sister Ruby (23 window) most sundays but even this has not been regular for the last few months.
So Pige and myself are still active just not so much in the VW communtiy of late.
Wishing you all a safe and joyous Christmas.
Pige and Rob...

Merry Christmas mate from all three (soon to be four) of us down here in Canberra. Glad to read that pige is still running even though she is far to high to be safe - remember that its not too late to be safe and lower her down.
We are all still here for another year,
Enjoy:)

Obviously you have a sensible wife who regulates your overspending. I take my hat off to her. If you would like some counseling in the art of frugal spending and the art of Zen. I can help you out. I am always looking to help any wayward souls.

Robo

question for you - I may have access to a oval that was restored a while ago but was hit by a falling tree when it was in its car port - am yet to see the photos. Its from within the family so its a very very low cost item read nothing. What I am wondering is if you know of anyone who could do some metalwork in your vicinity? (I suspect at least that the roof is stoved at the front as the windscreen popped out and bonnet/dash work). Car is in Brisbane but I am sure I can get it moved about reasonably easily. Not a rush project at all - in fact if it took four years I would be happy :)

Where I work, we just do restorations or repairs to classic cars. I can't remember the last time I worked on anything newer than 30 years old. My most recent work has been on a 1951 Facel Vega, 1961 Austin Healey, 1954 VW Bus

Cool. May need to chat with you about an oval I inherited that's getting some repairs done. It was 'restored' a number of years back but (in my opinion) not as well as I would have thought. So after it gets its roof fixed, I will be looking to get a bit of work done to it. What sort of lead time do you guys need? 6 months or more?
