nothing much from what i can pick up on me myself ive been off 4 a buit too not by choice i might add i got the engine in and i also got it going  yay i didnt it over 2 days, the 2nd day was needed to change the fuel pump .......well actually put the puch rod that works
it in because the last owber failed to tell me they were running an electric one. but hey i still did it

Hey...I'm just back from Sydney!!!...So tired....now I need a holiday....Nothing like going to another city, bigger than the one your from, to
exhaust yourself....
Picked Bob dog up on the way home...he'd had fun. The lady at the kennel loved him....He loved the ride home..and it was so nice to see him
again:kiss
First thing he did was race around the yard and bark to let all the neighbouring critters know he was back in his territory...Then he went into his kennel to sleep..I think he'd had some late
nights:thumb

Zac so are the schools on a semester break over there, or just Easter...do you have longer off?...
Pyro, it was good to meet up...even if very briefly....damn public transport...it takes so long to get anywhere...I was ready to go home to bed by the

Sounds like everyone had a fun & busy Easter.The nats sounded like a blast.
I worked on Sunday & Monday but its always fun working at the market especially down at St Kilda coz u get to meet lots of different people from
all over.
Way to go Pyro on getting the other engine into to your kombi.Are you driving it yet or is there still work to be done?How does it go compared to your
last engine?
How was Bundy Rob?Hot i bet!!!What was the surprise????Is there still one or have i missed it???:bounce
Kafer you lucky thing having a splitty as your neighbour on the barge.You wouldn't need to be checking out any of the scenery when you have something

Hey
Yep I got to the Nat's.......Arrived later that plannned because we got lost on the train system....It was great to get there.
I picked up a rubber seals kit for Dr L......should be a little less smelly once I get it in. I noticed that his bellows as split the other day and
decided the rest could get replaced as well to seal it all up
I also bought a Cheese Cutter for Bel...another accessory
Took pics of the colours I liked on beetles....will try to download them tonight and try and make a decision for Bel

Ok
She is still registered and in great condition! I pay for her on saturday! I will be leaving her at the present owners place until I get the 66 to the
reassembly stage! (about 2-3 weeks) I will be handing in the plates and putting her on historic rego. I will post some pictures after I hand over the
money on saturday. the present owner is a bit worried about having pictures of his cars on the web. so I will wait until the deal is sealed, out of
respect for him, plus he is a great friend.

I can drive her on club sanctioned runs. I am a member of 2 clubs one a vintage car club and the other, Klub VW Byron. I am allowed to drive her to
any workshop within a reasonable distance for body or trim work or mechanical repairs, I am allowed to take her on test runs of 15 klm's after
mechanical work that is done at home, and on other related cultural festivals. The vintage club has a run every sunday, so between the two I will be
able to take her out 2-3 times a week. thats more than enough for me!

sounds pretty sweet robo.
was it a good buy? i'm in sweden now at the parents place. dad picked me up in his 1.8 saab 9-5 turbo..got up around 240km/h...still going strong
too. top speed on the dial registers 260. hehe. it pulls soo strongly.

My kombi(daily driver) is sick & off to the doctor 2morrow.I have a bad feeling the compression is f#*$*d in one of the cylinders so i might be up

the scenery...hmm.. the chicks are very nice. oh and the landscape is very beautiful as well. yeh i am on holidays jen. as i have been since the 27th
of march and i don't go back until the 27th of april. it's pretty sweet huh?
and one of the girls i met at the youth hostel in oxford, her parents invited me to go their house in california..so that's pretty cool as well. zac |

hey guys glad to here about the oval robo great score mate anxiously awaiting the pics :thumb
thanks splitty chick yeh the engine went in i had to mess around with the fuel pump but i got it, it getting a tune up atm as i ran out of days i can
take off, this engine actually has extractors and a hot dog too its alot more grunty in the lower end of things, i suppose it has something to do with compression :P
zac all we ever hear is about you haveing a ball of a time its
gonna take you ages to retell all your stories to ur mates when ur home.
ill put some pics up on the new engine soon
