No-one is NSW chromes correctly. This is why they are sent interstate. The first step is a copper step and in NSW the by product is illegal to dump.
So anyone doing it in NSW is skipping this vital step. You find most places are quite small in NSW and when you look around for tanks etc there are
none. Most send them interstate for this reason where environmental impacts aren't as thought about. Not that I am complaining. So you might be best
to check interstate. Then again some of these companies in NSW get good discounts based on the volume they send interstate and you are effectively
sharing the shipping costs.

Bumpers and how to fix VW roundel
Thanks Fella's.. All Metal Bumpers picked them up yesterday.. i should have them next week.. $285 rear and $345 front (side steps!!)..
I've got the new rubber for the steps so once there on and fixed back to the car.. I'll forget the price and just enjoy..
BTW.. The front roundel.. I have pop riveted, double side taped, and screwed.. All have been removed by pricks (the pop rivet screwed the panel)..
For this one my mate Joe at NV Autotorque/SYD (by the way they are pricey but great people).. suggests I use sealastic..
Whats the best way ppl?

The front roundel.. I have pop riveted
bit of a problem there either leave it off n add for shows etc or plant a bomb underneath it so it blows the arse holes up when they try to nick
it.
Or dont park in unsafe places.

Uh-oh
I thought this post was going to have something to do with spraying paint into a plastic bag and sniffing....
False advertising.

Seriously now, to protect the roundel, where possible park with your nose right up against a wall or similar.

i had my bumpers, badge and front door window frames for my split done through these guys cost me $1150 i thought the price was ok, but i have no
price to compare with ,was told the window frames were very fiddly . also you might want to think about spraying the inside of the bumpers with some
kill rust just for that little extra protection. |
