Lowering a 54 beetle

What are peoples thoughts on dropped spindles or adjustable front beam?

I need to change the link/king pins on my oval anyway and trying to decide which way to go...thoughts?

Both ! Adjustable front beam just incase your not happy with the drop of the spindles !
Might aswell get a norrowed beam while your doing it !!

spindles will give you same ride quality but lower as now with standard shocks and such like. will increase your track alittle tho.
Adjusters, lower you go ride changes, fillings can shake loose from your teath on these quality roads here in OZ ! Can be quite harsh. if you go low need different shocks, castor shims and a couple more items to get back some characteristics.

take out the spare and put a bag of cement in there. cheaper than 600 bucks for drop spindles. Just kidding but that would work wouldnt it?

Spoke to mike at Custom Bugs and Buses, he talked me into adjusters on the front, cheaper than dropped spindles and easier to fit as he'll give me an exchange beam and he'll make up the king and link pins so that i can fit them straight on...works out cheaper and i can raise it if need be.

Give CBB a 5 star rating, used them lots and Mike always has the time for advice...
