Alternator Numbers

G'Day Ppl,

I'm trying to work out if I have an Alternator or Generator.
The descriptions just lead me astray.

Can I go by the Bosch Numbers?
The Groups of three numbers seem to signify something???
The numbers are at home
and the Home 'Poota is NOT working:cry
