Hi Neil,
Got them for free hey, good for you.
When I measured my Eureka up for mags I have inboard clearance of (roughly) 140mm at the rear and 180mm at the front. Those 15 x 8 Dragway Billets I got have 130mm backspace and the idiot had 295's on them. The tyres just clear the trailing arm, shock & bump stop at the rear of the Eureka, so if you don't go too radical with your tyre size then your 140mm backspace wheels may fit OK, but I'm not sure if they will clear the standard Beetle wheel arches (front space).
Have you thought about fitting spacers?
