48 IDF'S
Hey Guys,
I saw a pair of 48 idf's for sale today and was wondering whats the difference between them and 48IDA'S.
Its seemed very reasonable price??

The standard explanation is - 48 IDFs are considered more of a streetable carb, they have a better progression circuit (from idle to main jets). The
IDAs are a race carb, originally used on GT40s and the like. They have more of an on/ off feel about them, they flow a whole lot more air and you can
run venturis up to 45mm.
So if its top end performance you are after its IDAs, streetable IDFs.
