HELP - Anyone know where i can get antenna like this from

Hopefully someone can shed some light

My bug has a old rubber antenna that i want to get rid of but has a hole drilled into the bonnet :cussing

Ive seen some old Valiant and Falcon XP's around with these old school antennas

They look similar to this:
http://members.aol.com/psychoracingprod/private/ebay/images/antenna/spring1.jpglike

Except the spring is more like a tornado shape similar to this picture but not as thick

http://i18.ebayimg.com/03/i/01/71/9d/90_2.JPG

Anyone know ive searched the net to no avail and rung old classic car shops but they say try repco etc but no avail

anyone have any info?

the tornado shaped spring was often used on whip antenna for CB radios. check out a communications shop.

The tornado shape is found on John Deere Tractors except they are black on not chrome. If interested I could find out the thread as a John Deere Parts Boy
