was thinkin about doing that but first the sills have to be replaced and a section infront of the rear wheel arch.
im going with the rhys look. dark beige bottom light beige top ,stanard wheels colour co-ordinated, white walls, dropped 3 inchs all around using rob king dropped spindles and torsion bar adjustment in the rear using a 1500 type 3 swing axle box and 1600 DP , safaris all round .
what ya think????
cheers

prime it

you should prime it as soon as possible as the rust has already started even though you can't see it.I use a ppg / dulux product called dp40 ,its an opoxy primer so it hangs on like shit to a blanket so to speak. the bonus with dp4o is that it is ideal for restorations like you are doing becuase you can leave it on the cars surface until you do the panel work, then do a section at a time maybe a door or 1/4 panel but leave the dp40 on & give it a quick sand with 180 dry sandpaper add another coat of it as you can put filler straight over the top and guess what the filler will adhere better than if was on bare metal. You will probably say what no filler on my car but it is not a bad thing if it is used correctly and you use top quality fillers and stick to one brand of paint ,if you mix and match brands you might as well put house paint on it .
This is my advise as i do this for a living and there is nothing better than seeing the car ten years later and it still looks as good as the day you finished it.
good luck ......glenn.:alien
