Wondering if I should stay with the 1835 bore and the delortos for my 67 kombi as the heads are stuffed or come back to a 1700 bore.

Hey dude hows it goin,67 kombi type 1 engine heads stuffed bored for 1835 pistons and cylinders,if your P&Cs are worn too i would buy a set of
90.5mm P&Cs=1776cc and new heads bored for 90.5,1835 and 1776 pistons and cylinders use the same size hole in the head and the case.In overseas
forums it is generally accepted that the most reliable bores are 85.5 std,90.5,94.The barrels of 90.5 and 92 are the same they take the 90.5 and bore
them out to get 92s so they have thinner walls which some say can distort if overheated as could be done in a van with a load.As is usual for all
things vw there are many many differing views on everything so do your research and in the end you have to decide,Mick.
