Beetle Badge..

Beetle Badge...

hey all... on my 68 Semi-Auto, i have the "Automatic Stickshift" badge.. i have been told that these are rather rare.. and i have possibly the only Semi-Auto beetle with this badge. i do not know how true this is but i know it is rare enough for the guys at Volkspower (est in the 50's) to have never seen one before..

anyway.. it is attatched by 3 screws through the decklid and i was wondering if all beetle badges used the same spacing? so i can get a more common badge and keep the auto stickshift one in a safe place untill the time comes to part with my child :)

a picture of the badge in question is available at:

im afraid i have no idea how to upload onto the forum, i know you cant see where the spacers are but perhaps a veteran knows off hand? or knows of somone else in Oz with such a badge?.. im sure i remember seeing another before i fell in love w/ VW's
