Help!! Popout latches needed
I have a 1967 beetle and was lucky enough to find some popouts which are in very good nick. However the latches which attach to the body are missing.
I've probably got a better shot at finding the Holy Grail but can any one supply the missing pieces or suggest where to look. Any assistance would be
extremely appreciated.

Yep it is hard to find them. I went through the same thing a while back before committing to buy a pair of popouts without latches. After much
searching I found that it was just too hard. I think I did enquire at Koch's in the US and from memory they had them but were very exy. If it is the
later style popouts you come across them (latches) on the samba and ebay a bit.
good luck.

Thanks Alan for the tip. Since I posted my initial request for help, I managed to find the latches and all the other hardware requirements on
BFYObsolete in the US. Not cheap as each latch costs $35 (green backs). If any one else is interested they sell complete pop-out window kits for
1958-64 bugs for US$250 each and complete pop-out window kits for US$150 each for 1965-77 bugs. Not cheap but neither are hens teeth!!
