Byron Bay 1st Birthday bash......and byronbug's birthday bash....
On the last week end of the month it will be byron bay 1st anniversary bash and byronbug birthday also......people are invited to show some support to
VW fellows....and as an example of this a cruise will be leaving the sunshine coast on saturday May 29th at 7.00 sharp from the Etamogah Pub
...meeting at 6.30 am so evryone will have time to get there and be awake.
should get there by 11.30/12noon ... meet up with Byron group at oz-e-go fuel station just off the highway at Byron turn off... and then heading off
to casino for some more fun as there is a festival on that week end......details as follow
the casino beef week show and shine and parade is on saturday may 29
klub vw casino is entering vw,s anyone interested in joining in is more than welcome
the car show starts at 8am til 12-1pm followed by a parade which starts at 2.15pm
fun family day out with entertainment and carnival all day
if any members wish enter their vw in parade it must be registered with the beef week office no later than the
tuesday 25th may please send mailing address for forms to be sent and filled out and returned
a.s.a.p. if you wish enter show only no forms are needed

*Its Judy's Birthday and Klub VW Byron's 1st anniversary of their very first outing as a club!
*meeting 10.30am at Lennox Lookout to cruise and stop somewhere for a BBQ lunch hopefully where they'll be places to purchase meals for those who
chose not to BBQ.
*For something different: BYRON MARKETS are on this SUNDAY morning starting at approx 8am-ish, for those who wish to check out these weird and
wonderful markets before joining in the cruise from Lennox Lookout......
like mentionned before we will be leaving the pub early saturday morning for a cruise down so if you want to come along.......please do so or
otherwise u2u sleeper or bettyboop if you wanted to be picked up along the way....

Happy Birthday for the last weekend in this month!
Hope all the details above are right... feel free to add or correct anything we've missed!
It would be great to get HEAPS of ppl along to this event and also be able to celebrate Klub VW Byron's 1st anniversary with them by showing support
and attending!
We understand that we've got VW lovers from all over the areas so if you're between... say... Etamogah pub and Byron and wish to join us feel free
to U2U Sleeper or myself and hopefully we can make some arrangement to pick you up along the way. However, if you don't wish to drive down in a
group situation we'd love to see you down there, even if you take your time coming down at your own pace!

MOST CERTAINLY infact i encourage you to meet up if ya can make it!
If we make a couple of stops they're guna have to b fly in... pick up... fly out... bcos we wont have HEAPS of time to spare with stops, but we WILL
make appropriate ones.
Im thinking we take a couple stops: one possibly at Yatala BP serivce station??? is that needed??? do we pick anyone up there??? bcos we wont make
UNWANTED/NEEDED stops if we dont HAVE to... if ya get ma drift

whens cruise time? Well I have racing this weekend, then next weekend its sevice weekend for all the wear and tear on the car from the racing eg new
shift rod bushes, new rear end bushes, new engine mounts and a general check over. I will have to see whats doing each weekend

Well what can I say....ummm. I am so touched guys....

Ok heres whats happening....
Sat morning 29th we will have to leave early to get to Casino in time for the street float procession.
Apparantly this is a huge event & we have to lodge our papers in by the 25th or we can't be in the parade, so hop to it & send them back if
you want to go & be in it ppl.
After that, to anyone who wants to come there with us on that day you are invited to a BBQ that night back at my place.
(We can always stop on the way home & pick up some food meat etc.)
The next day Sun 30th the Byron Bay Markets are on so whoever wants to go to that can,
Then later we are celebrating Klub VW Byron Bay's first anniversary with a Big BBQ & photo shoot.
Meeting at the lookout at Lennox Head at 10.30am travelling to a nice spot for a group pic then on to a shady BBQ area
to chill & relax & celebrate with you all.
So to anyone who want to enjoy a beautiful Byron weekend & admire some awesome VW's....& spend their time with some wonderful friends like I
have off & on here.....you are welcome to join us all. Any forum members who want to come along too, you are welcome.....
Hope I see you all there....
I might even ring our local newspaper & ask them to do another story & pic of us too......

have only just breifly read the above posts ---- but still couldn't see any definant designated meeting spots along the way to pick up the rogue
dubbers who can't meet at etomogah pub.....
my vague vague sugestion kat:
the pub for you sunhine coast mob,
then a servo near the north-side of brissie
then a servo near the south-side of brissie
and finally a servo near the gold coast....
what do you reckon?????
i can't think of anything specific because i am a bit of a moron --- plus i don't know what route you are taking....which way are you
travelling......?
could i sugest northlakes servo or one near boondall for north brisbanites.....
and perhps....er.......somewhere close to me for the southside!!!! (hehehe, um.....damn it) THATS AS FAR AS MY BRAIN WILL TAKE ME RE: SUGGESTIONS (now
can you see why i got lost 3 times during a freaking motorkhana course???????? mind you, it was in a PADDOCK...can't be trusted when the route
encompasses sunshine coast to byron)
so thats where my brain cell takes us.

Well i could just make meeting points, but i didn't want to just DECLARE this if it wasn't goin to suit the majority... so wat if i suggest stops
and unless someone has a difficulty we'll stay with them...
SO... Over the next couple of days i'll look at a refidex n fuel stations and the route we'll take which i think str8 down the high way should b
good....
BUT PLEASE if something is a problem or you'll like to know if a stop could b changed, DONT HESITATE to U2U me or Sleeper and ASK! it doesn't hurt
to ask... but if you dont ask you will NEVER know and im SURE it will BLASTING GREAT TIME on this weekend! tho most drives as VW lovers are great

Yes the Glen Villa Resort is VERY close(walking distance) to
the markets on the sunday morning so thats kool.
