Auto type three cable question help !


Is there some type of clip that holds the selector cable in ? trying to remove one and it will not pull out ? so what is the go ? seagull:jesus

yes thank you dave ,the cable seams to be snaged on some thing the shifter has been removed but will not pull out any ferther ideas thank you neil

hey neil
is the rubber plug thats seals the tube where the cable comes out of the tunnel is that jammed in the tube and not letting the cable pull through

Yes Aaron I think the rubber plug theory is correct. I tried to pry that baby out but it felt like it was metal to me and quite possibly a spot weld or two holding it in. Maybe get some locking plyer thing onto it and try and twist it out. I tried with the screw driver etc to pry it off but it wouldn't budge. Worst case scenario just cut the end of the tube off. Or better still price a new cable and just buy one.
