Sure is! Difficult to get though, so most restos and resprays have black.

Ours was white beading on a white beetle.
When I resprayed it I used white again.
No probs getting it from any VW place that sells West Coast metric rubbers.

Hi
You used to be able to buy it heaps of colours, there was even many diffrent colur running board mats. In the old days you could paint them by adding
linseed oil to the paint, I beleive there are products you can buy to keep the paint flexible.
The oly trouble with keeping the beading body colur is that it looks like you did a dodgy paint job and just painted over them.

I had a white type 3 variant years ago and it had white beading too..
I have seen beading that is a sort of dull black colour..
I thought that it may be for painting.. or using on a dull black car ??
