technical specifications??
Hi,
I was wondering on the tech specs of the 1800 and 2000 engines used in kombi's throughout the 1970's. Please forgive my ignorance on not being able
to specify engine types, but I was trying to get and idea of top/cruising speeds (which as I read seems to be about 100-120 kph) MPG, and fuel tank
size please?
I read that current price for 1 litre of unleaded is currently about $1.10. Is this right? Could anyone guide me to their ROUGH/average Kombi range
i.e. 250miles to $30 etc etc?
Sorry to ask such menial questions, but I am tryig to pre budget the best I can before embarking on my mass adventure!
Cheers
Matt (Currently in Tokyo - but I'm on my way soon

Matt,
Check this out about fuel consumption:
http://www.aussiekombicampers.com/faq.shtml
Lots of other good kombi stuff there, too.
Top speed depends on how high the cliff is! Seriously though stock kombis struggle to get above 120 km/h on the flat (well mine does!). You're much
better off sticking around 100 km/h.
Petrol prices are going through the roof at the moment >$1 not uncommon.

about $2.40AU dollars per litre for unleaded, $2.50AU per litre for diesel and anything upto $2.70AU for super!!! :o I'm looking forward to AU priced
