stolen cars

who here has had their car stolen??? when i was 17 i bought my first car for $8000, a nice lookin commodore (yes i am now ashamed) that i had to borrow $7000 to get. two days later it was gone. stolen from the front of my house at kallangur in brisbane and found dumped in the bush out the back of jimboomba. it coulda been worse, her engine was half stripped, all locks buggered and mags stolen but panels were fine. i was uninsured and it took me nearly $2500 to get it back on the road. it became a financial sink hole as all the second hand parts fittted started falling over..........
anyone else want to share their story???:cry:cry

There's nothing like the sweet sound of your dub chuggng away. I listen to my music quite loud generally, so I would miss a lot of mechanical things if I HAD a stereo installed in the Bay.

Stuff that anyway, it's not just the stereo that goes bye-bye, it's the quarterglass "access panel" too.

Frenz, when you move out of Sydney, you can probably install a new sound system. Where are you going again? Byron? The stoners don't get as crazy as the junkies for that stuff, so you should be fine.

As for stolen stuff in general, I think if you did a poll, that most people on this forum would have lost a badge or tyres at some time or another. Particularly the Sydney guys.

I live out Jimboomba way, and so many cars are stripped and dumped out here it's not funny. At least your's wasn't burned too.

like you said everyone wil have a sob story,
thats actuallly how i got involved in veedubs,
i was young (still am) and stupid, i had a vtec civic, dumped on its arse on 17's all the extras, power everything, exhaust, momo interior fitted out, full stereo set up, 18inch rockford sub in boot, 2 amps, surely enough cover note ran out, 2 days later stolen from liverpool westfields, at the time it was pinched, i still owed 13 grand on it, ( still owe 4) since then bought a 76 bus to get around in, dumped it 3.5 inches nice sounding stereo, 4 x 6x9's, and loving every bolldy minute of the veedub world, YOU GUYS ROCK.......... now its VEEDUBS TILL I DIE.............

thats my 2 yen........

Who used the term "wanker"?

Surely such language would never be used in a forum of such repute and high standing? We aren't street urchin's and drunkard's now are we? I say we hunt down the culprit and give him a good thrashing! In the name of all that is sacred!

I think I've done my dash. I'll have to go underground for another couple of weeks. The hitman almost got me last time. Only the sex change saved me. You might have seen me on reality TV recently? My name's Gretchen.

I get very silly when I'm tired. Please forget all that you have read!
