Trainspotting

I saw the matt green KG again this morning - 9.00 am going around Albert Park lake. This lucky lady drives into South Melbourne whereas I just park.
One morning when I am not in a rush I think I need to give her some literature.

I also saw a nice white notch tonight. Tried to show off my Cruisers sticker, but they wanted to go off to St Kilda and I was too hungry to
stalk^Wfollow them.

And last night, I saw a peach colored oval bug with louvres / venetian blinds on the beach road between St Kilda and Elwood.

I was driving home from the Uni the other night, about 1030, heading home to work on an assignment and saw on Newcastle Road another Baja like
Wes' but if it were only worth a grand or two. Same colour, Same kit almost and a good stance.

Bugger it I said and hung a U-Turn and 2 minutes later was knocking on the door. Thanks for the Chat Wayne and hope you like the forum.

Like I said their a top bunch!

Been noticing a sweet sky blue '58 beetle parked on Smith St, near Johnston on a Tuesday night the last couple of weeks.

Oops it's Bel

Lot's of VW'S around Melbourne, I'm always veedubbspotting, becoming obsessive.

Passed a bunch of bored school kids last night. They were waiting at a tram stop on William at 9.30 pm (can't image where they'd been)
waving at cars and getting no response. Felt sorry for them and waved back as Bel and I cruised by, they let out an enormous cheer. I grinned for the

Hey Guys, Hi Colin.

By the way, where's the chat room?

Anyhow. Getting around Newcastle isn't as much fun in the Dog-O-War as I thought it might be. Nobody, and I mean nobody waves. New VDubs, Type
3's, Busses and even type 1's couldn't be bothered. Very dissapointing indeed.

When we are out in the Telstar we see heaps of Volkspower getting around and wonder who the mad clown is on the horn hanging out the window.

There are a few Baja's getting around but none who seem keen to go bush or up the beach on weekends. There are some very nice Resto bugs getting
around like Sam's VWFOOL and James' Green 57.

I put a klaxlan horn on to turn some heads and get some attention but I guess there all too busy dodging law suits. The only wave I've got is
from a kombi like Colins coming back from Cessnock one day few weeks ago.

What a bugger eh!

Col you're really missing something living out there in the sticks

VW's everywhere down here. You get whip lash just looking around at them all

But then you're adding to your community up there. They could become Vee Dubbless if you moved. Little kids might grow up and never knowing what
a beetle or combi looks like

When you're in town we can take you on spotting cruises |

Happy young hippie

Driving by Melbourne uni near the colleges, a lemon/yellow 60's beetle on P's going the other direction. Young female driver with a
70's Afro happening and a big smile on her face when she spotted Bel

Almost home, a nice dark blue beetle heading up the hill in Eastfield Road, driver waved. My wave might not have been noticed cos it was a bit
delayed, too busy admiring his ride.

Had been to a dealer to look at an early 70's Type 3 Square Back "Genuine 1 owner", was told over the phone it just needed a cut and
polish to bring the paint up. It was a heap of sh!!te, the one owner had treated it real bad by the looks, body knocked about, headliner badly torn
and interior neglected. Nearly didn't get out of Bel when I saw it but had driven a long way and it's good to see what's out there. OK
I should have known better than go to a dealer.

Have sold the '88 Celica, Bel needs a friend, I need a back-up car and Bob the dog needs to be further away from the driver. He got wedged
between the seats when I stopped at an intersection last outing with me :o

(had spelt young yopung )
