$$ dilemma
After all the trouble getting the insurance $$ for my 72 deluxe.. I received the cheque today
Very hard to know whether to just keep the $$ for a new project or get the 72 back on the road.. $5.5 k buys a lot of VW and if my 72 was repaired it
wouldn't be worth much more than $7k
I could alway sell the 72 as is to an enthusiast and get say $1500.. That is now 7k to spend.. get the idea?..
The 72 is a bloody awesome machine and I would hate to see it chopped up..
Christ, I don't know..

Hey Rob,
The 72 end is the same as the 74 end. The corner that's damaged is good in the yellow 74 (about the only bit that is). You could come over one
weekend, we'll grab the neighbours plasma cutter and cut the good section out. Providing that to the panel beater to stitch in along the seams should
reduce the repair bill considerably and leave you some $$$
