IS there a 12 step program for VW addicts?
Perhaps these would do :-)
1. Admit you are powerless at a swap meet and that your garage has become unmanageable
2. You have come to believe that a flat four can ace a V8
3. You have made a decision to turn over all cash to the furtherance of your project
4. You have made an exhaustive spares inventory
5. You admit the exact details of your projects to any one who will stand still long enough
6. You are confident that you have removed all the defect stickers
7. You humbly say "they are just so well designed its easy"
8. You have made a list of the best parts suppliers with comparative pricing
9. You made direct amends (case of coke) to the guy with the welder, spray booth, or part you needed
10. You continue to catalog parts for the next swap meet
11. You have sought through contemplation and study of the workshop manual to gain that precious increment of horsepower
12. Done what ever you can to promote the virtues of VW to others
