yep a pedal powered Kombi, good idea except what do you do with all the slaves required to power it while you are away from the vehicle shopping or at work etc?

Please, I need drivers side window regulator (winder mechanism) for my '54 http://i98.photobucket.com/albums/l266/Kombikim/avatar1.jpg

Well being pedal powered it might go faster than a stock one?

Hmmm.... Very cool. I have a pic somewhere of a similar contraption in Europe of a large passenger bus chassis that was pedal powered. It had ~20-30 "seats" and would happily cruise at 20kph.
I'd hate to be the only person to turn up to the car pool one morning though!!!!

Here's another one.

They must be finding it difficult with the new fuel price hike.
