New Badge
Got my new badge for the engine cover on the Oval.Had 2 laser cut from 4mm aluminium and I hand finished to look like an original 1300 VW badge.Could
only get close to the Original VW script type because no body had it in their computer-not a bad repo.Had it covered in 24carat gold. Will use double
sided tape to hold it on.

maybe before you got it coated and polished you should have welded some studs on the back so that at least you could bolt it on??? lol... would hate
to see them disappear off the car.
see.... air and water do mix

Yeah thought about it-bit hard with aluminium.Could have perhaps had it done with brass and silver soldered lugs on-but would have been real hard to
finish it off.Theres lots of other things that could dissappear off the car as well-will have to always stay with it.Will be a real pain when I take
it to car shows.

You know if you put it on with velcro you can take it off when you are going away from the car. Sort of like the removeable face from a car headunit!
lol you wouldnt want to drive off with it on incase it blew off though.:P

Yes the polished wheels were on one of the VW's I bought a while back. The centre caps are missing,so can't find out what they are. They don't fit
any other VW's I have and I had stud holes checked-5x130.I might put them in a Garage sale and see if I can get some offers-might be able to get rid
of them.

Thought that since I am changing the trans in my Oval- better get a new badge for the engine cover.Got it coated in gold to match the others. The car
is still in getting the sunroof fitted and a paint job.Been in there for nearly 3 months and the hole still hasn't been cut in the roof yet.If they
weren't the best in town I think I would have been pulling it out.The bloke thats doing the roof told me last week the Boss wants it out by
Xmas-Hooray.Lets hope.Giving me more time on my auto conversion .
