Fatboy - You are at a Disadvantage.... Why!!
Fat Boy,
You and others on this site have One Very Large Disadvantage,,,,, There are NO Aussie VE mags any more... There have been a few come & go... and
they all went.... but they had advertisers in these Mags and all the older people have the advantage over You and other Younger VW enthusists.... I
will See if I can find any Suppliers in Your area.... The only only problem being.... A VW supplier who was around 5 or 6 years ago.... May NOT be
around N ow.... Mick at Mick MOtors have a Huge selection of Parts and the postage is not all that bad...
You can also order by COD which means You get your parts sooner.... The COD charge is around $8 [I think] + the freight costs..... You can save the
COD charge by sending a Money order etc... or by Direct Debit into their Bank a/c. Thats what I have been doing over the past 6 years...

I guess I'll stop looking around newagents then.
I thought I must be just missing the mags.
I guess I'll have to get used to buying by mail I'm a kinda I
WANT IT NOW guy though
The best bits in those mags were the ads
" Captain Picard, why are there no Indians on the Enterprise ? Don't you need IT Support ? "

Steve. I've used Mick Motors and found them to be excellent. The parts arrived within days, and they have a good range. I sent a Postal Order to
avoid paying COD.
I've got some Aussie VW mags you can borrow if you like, but Mick is cheaper than many places I've tried.

speaking of mags whats with the slow delivery of VolksWorld to our shores? My news agent is always two months behind and they seem to be in a week
later every month. Is it just my area or do others have this problem?

if u are looking for parts in Victoria, have u tried Volkspower, or the ones in Bayswater (try the yellow pages!!!). Volkspower has stocked many hard
to get parts in Australia for a very long time (over 20 years ago my father got beautiful flared guards off them for his beetle and at the time they
were the only importer of that style, which used the original beetle taillights, and some damn good wheels as well) last time we went in they had 4
VWs for sale, a similar number waiting for a service and 3 up on hoists including a T3 in the middle of a T4 2l engine swap.
