DYNO RESULTS/SHEETS section.

Any chance we could have a dyno results section on the forum ??? This could be its own category where we can post dyno sheets for all to view.

This would save having the results in different sections all over the forum !!!

What does everybody else think ?

sounds good. ppl could also post specs and any feelings about driveability etc. just have to be careful it doesn't turn into fights over engine
builders/types etc. eg give the admin the ability and make sure he does kill any posts like that.

maybe just as a reference post, no other comments can be made other than the person who originally posted ??

Just thought this section would be usefull, especially when you have several dyno charts from the same motor taken over a period of several months, it
would help with tracking the results gained by any changes.

sounds like a really smart idea to me. all i need now is to get some frikken dyno charts
all we need is to top a post for dyno charts and have it off limits for sledging, or only post sheets, no comments.

I think its a good idea. Having engine details (a la cook book) would make it even better. The more detail the more use it would be to those building
an engine and trying to make some decisions on what parts to use.

the cook book is a great idea.

but the post must have a dyno chart, this will keep it real and hopefully measurable.

I want the post purely for Dyno sheets, not just dream talk about engine combo's, this is covered in several other sections !!! :kiss

cb performance has a dyno section on their website...interesting figures...its on the right under the rhino case.

If you want some more specs on quick normally aspirated cars look up the DKP club...Its an old street bug club that has made a comeback....In the old
days you could not be a member unless your N/A car ran under 13 seconds.

I think that u should just put your stirring stick away Craig.
We've had enough of that in the past & it's time to move on.

If u don't believe anyones dyno results, with or without a dyno sheet, or any improvements, with or without a dyno sheet, u don't have to. All the
backyard pretend mechanics have nothing to gain from telling people on this forum what they are building, what EXACTLY is in the engine & how it
performs, things changed & advantages/disadvantages experienced.
It is only sharing knowledge , things learned & mistakes made. If people posting can pass on anything that they have learnt & have been taught
then thats an added bonus.
We've had in the past some fantastic numbers on dyno sheets , only to have the car not perform to everyones expectations on the track. So the whole
disbelief thing can go both ways.
regards
Jak

Hey, I'm not trying to stir, and to all the dyno charts posted on this forum, I believe all of them. I want this thread to have results, not just "
My new motor has 220hp and it is a worked 1640cc" type of stuff..................

Sorry Jak if you have taken MY suggestion the wrong way, it's just if we are to set up this post called "DYNO RESULTS/CHARTS" don't you think we
should actually have "DYNO CHARTS" on it !

Wouldn't it be good to see all of your charts over the last 2 years with the changes you have made etc

:jesus

That's a good idea Craig.

If I posted my dyno sheets people would be able to follow the development process of various engines. I think each engine should have it's own post
which would be updated with any new dyno sheets.

My "CT056 1915" post would look something like this:

Sheet 1 76hp (44 x 37mm unported street eliminators)
Sheet 2 83hp (40 x 35 unported 044)
Sheet 3 87hp (tuning)
Sheet 4 TBA (fine tuning) expecting 90ish
Sheet 5 TBA (New Heads) expecting 100ish
Sheet 6 TBA (IDA instead of IDF) don't know what to expect
Sheet 7 TBA (New steroid cam or Webcam 109)

Jak's post would be even more interesting since he's gone from 90.5s t0 94s then from 73mm crank to 82mm crank.

It would also be interesting to see back to back comparisons with engines when the change rocker arms.

Gee Dyno Dynamics is going to love this idea.

Exactly CT

Saves having to search all over the forum to find results and read about changes, it will be all there under one !

Now time to buy shares in Dyno Dynamics !

Great idea, some wheel dynos are not always accurate.Engine dynos are with hp and torque figures. So you might have to catorise the charts to engine dynos, wheel dynos just a suggestion.JVLRacing
