Judy's 61 beetle doesnt have a rear bar and the pink slip guy said if you shorten the tail pipes he will pass it, something about sharp objects on which people can hurt themselves...

I was told that a front bar is prefered for pedestrian safety, however I think getting run down by a lowered beetle is gunna hurt reguardless of bumper or not...

Yeah, tailpipes sticking out too far and people trip on them...so mys suggestion is shorten the tail pipes, they do stick out a long way without a bumper

You are supposed to have a b/bar on the rear in NSW.
Tailpipes stick out either standard or bigger ones & that
is dangerous they say. (its like not having a cage on a Baja motor)
Was told to put one on this year or he won't pass me next time.
Judy ;)

I have no bumper bar on the front of the baja - is been through a couple of times ok. Nothing said. Hopefully will have a small nudge bar this time though to mount a couple of spots.
