Yeah....the guy who was going to build the buggy thought a 1200 Nissan motor :puke would be a better idea. The buggy was no where near complete and had been sitting out in the open for quite a while.

The major loss was that it had a ok body (and it was a J&S) and the chassis was one from WHM.

I may be wrong here, but doesn't a J&S have a steel lift kit moulded into the body? If so shouldn't it still be with the chassis?

Welcome to the Forum J&S Blue - Have we met at all?

Your ride looks awfully familiar and there isn't that many J&S' getting around with that much love.

Lift kit in Body

Hi 11CAB,

Sorry to take so long to get back to you but I have been away for a week or so - but am now back at work :cussing.

From my looking around I think that J&S have 2 different shells. One has provision for a 2 inch box section in the fibreglass which does not actually lift the shell but allows for some stiffening in the chassis. The other shell is much the same as a Manx and just has a small lip that bolts straight to the chassis.

The buggy I have has the 2 inch box section and the buggy in the fire didn't.

Hope you have a great New Years.

Mark.

That probably sounds right, I've only seen a couple but they've all had the steel box section.
