How about a complete and running '74 microbus for $250. I drove it ~100km to my place on trade plates!
I could be fixed a little and registered, but for now it's a spare parts kombi.

A complete & running 58 kombi that cost me nothing more than patience.
A 57 oval (minus motor & interior) for a slab.
A set of 1600 TP barrells, pistons, heads & twin carbs for a slab.
A near complete, but strictly parts, 70 kombi for an errand. Turned out the motor was reco'ed 1000 kms before it was parked.
There's more, but mostly just parts cars.

A Few Bargains
My dad owns volkwerke in melbourne and every 2 months or so some people come around and sell a car (usually a golf or a beetle) to him from $100 to
$50. The cars usually have been in a accident or engine doesn't work but he use's them for parts anyway. The mk1 golf where doing up for
motorkhanas we bought for $50 because it only had a little dint in the back. Now it has a 1600 GTI motor in it.

I've scored a few bargains in my time, but I think the Berlina electric mirrors for the Tundra Buggy at $2 each was pretty good. And a perfect
Varajet carby for the Super Sports for $2 was good also. I picked up a replacement Falken Landair tyre (31x10.5x15R) and 2 14x7 inch VW rims for a
total of $1 a couple of days ago.
My current Kelly Safaris that went so well on Fraser were the cheapest though at $0.00
And Brad thinks he's a tightass...

I got this "really kool!! " hub cap for only US $3 bucks. Bargain. It only cost another US$12 bucks to ship from Bangor in Maine USA. Talk
about about a bargain hunter.
I'm chasing down some really nice beach property in a place called Muriroa Atol at the moment.

safari windows,a 2litre and a 1800 complete motors,7 doghouse fanhousings, heaps of early beetle lights mirrors visors salt and pepper cloth seats and
door trims for early type 3 and lots of other goodies, this was the greatst find ever I think this guy really liked me...:beer

Bargains.....
I don't think I'll sleep tonight after reading of those bargains...... Some of You people lead Fairytale lives..... This is one time I wish
I was a Fairy and had a kombi full of parts......
All I bought recently was a pair of NOS late rear Guards for $34...
When this fellow sold His VW years ago... He gave the new owners the guards but they didn't want them......
I though I would be the luckiest until I read some of the other posts.....
LUCK is the word.....

I've had quite a few motorbike bonus' here and there but nothing really to do with VW's. Probably the only two that come to mind was my
$20 Donaldson and $19 Fire extinguisher (New). I hope the extinguisher never has to pay for itself but it's good piece of mind and as their was
only a Ramflo on the 1300 before so it the Donaldson.
Mabey I should read Buy, Swap and Sell more often!
