Installed Tacho - press horn - 3000rpm?? shows
Anyone help...
I have installed a Tachometer in My Sons Baja Beetle.
It works OK.. but when the horn button is pressed, the tacho does about 3000rpm...
The Horn is operated thru a relay.. and both are connected thru the ignition system...
This happens with the ignition on or when the engine is going....
Tacho is not a VDO...

with a bit of work, your horn should rev to 6000rpm at least!

3000 is probably the oscilation frequency of the horn.
Purchace a better performing horn.:thumb
