I don't go to work happy to be there

I'm not enjoying my job at the moment, lets face it you have to spend a lot of time doing it so it has to be somewhat enjoyable. Or am I like everyone else and should I just put up with it???? Who has job satisfaction????? Or is it a myth????

I like my job and actually found myself missing work whilst on holidays. Only a little bit. I've done jobs I hated, but life's too short to spend 8hrs a day doing something you don't like

Same here

More than happy to do my job

people a cool - we are friends without over socialising.
You can have pressure - call every one a f%ckwit and then be friends again the next day

fair bit of pressure - but i am paid well. Job satisfaction is a large part.
NO ONE wants the responsibilty of continually winning work with margin in it.

thats cool - just means job security for me :jesus

I think that barls will agree with me here, try having a job where you can not take a sickie, or rock up late and get away with it, or talk back to the dickhead in charge of you without the threat of losing part of your pay, having to do meaningless tasks or even the possibility of being put in Jail.

so i say if you don't like it, then look around elsewhere. You never know, that dream job may only be around the corner. :thumb

Well my job now is looking after my babies. I miss the adult interaction (probably explains why I am on here so much) and I hate doing housework but I can't quit.

I have been painting for 20 years and I'm still liking it,what the hell is wrong with me? Great locations, every day is different, jjj on the radio all day....what more could a man want (besides more money)? I've mostly worked for myself and that probably explains why I'm still broke, but happy. I once tried out as a freelance gynachologist but I couldn't listen to the radio and concentrate at the same time!:puke

To date I am yet to find that dream job that I love. I enjoy my work and it is a means to and end (funds my vw addiction). Maybe one day owning my own business will make it more enjoyable (that way I can work four days a week, go surfing in the mornings etc etc etc)....ahh to dream...

i enjoy my job, but would enjoy it more if certain people would do theirs.
id also enjoy it alot more if they didnt fire one of the trained guys to employ 2 untrained guys who just happened to be sons of the doctors that work there.

I guess this means im not really enjoying my job at the moment.

When I was a boy I had the obligatory train set.
Now I got real ones. I love it, 15 years on freight, near 3 years on passenger trains.

The big coal trains are about as close to absolute power that we mere mortals will ever get.
They are bigger now, but the last ones I drove were 1.7 kms long, 7500 tonne gross, with 12,000 horse power at your fingertips.
There really is no feeling like one these monsters inching it's way out of a mine.
At 80kph it will take it's own length to stop in an emergency, so anything that gets in your way is history.

Passenger trains don't have the same sort of feeling, but I enjoy them just the same.
On any given shift I've got 2000 to 5000 lives in my hands. They probably don't think about it any more that I do.
The sights you see can make your day.
A man got on at Carringbah on Tuesday, in a mini skirt, stockings & knee high, high heel boots. & yes, I did say a man.

The down side of my job is, jumping in front of a train is still the best way to commit suicide. Very messy business.

The best part is, I'M ON LEAVE, NO WORK TIL 5TH OF THE 10TH.

Well my friends are gone & my hair is grey, I ache in the places where I used to play.

I like my job
Work for the government. I do an 8 day fortnight which is great every second weekend is a 3 day-er.
No bosses here today or tomorrow and when they are here they have no idea what I do so they leave me alone to get on with it. Can be a bit stressful making sure the ships we are loading makes the right tide but thats just a small part of the big picture. Money is really good, conditions are excellent can't do better 'specially without uni degree !

Was that meant to be a pun??

No, 6 months off the road before that's necessary.
I'm tossing up doing a fortnights work for one of the little private freight companies. Just to keep my diesel qualifications intact.

Which course do you work on?

I love my jobs.
I wouldn't give up my primary job for quids. Great job satisfaction and very challenging & exciting.

I find my 2nd job very rewarding and get heaps of stimulation from it, plus the hours are very flexible.
