White stripes on tyres.

I've got some thin white stripes on my front tyres and am having a very hard time cleaning the blue stuff off the white marking underneath.

The stuff on the lettering on my back tyres came off with elbow grease and warm soapy water, but the front stripes have got me stumped.

Any ideas?

black paint?
have you tried cellulose thinners? dissolves most paints I find, either that or brake fluid. not sure what it'll do to your tyre though...
you could always buy new tyres....:D
