Calling that a baja is like calling an R1 a motocross bike.
What a joke..

So because it has street tyres it isnt a Baja??
What is your criteria to define it as such then??

Well I suppose a purist as such would say that a "baja" would need to be able to compete in an actual Baja event.
My idea of a baja is just any beetle designed and built with off-road driving in mind, like all the baja bugs around.
not just because it has street tyres, but because its built on the new bug chasiss (isnt it? :puke ), which is hardly desgined for off-road use, kinda defeats the meaning of the word "baja".

has it been shortened nose & tail, lightened, stripped ect in order to enhance an already admirable off road prowess like the old ones??

or is is just as heavy with just as much front & rear overhang with a front motor and front wheel drive, limited off road ability and ect as a "styling"excersize

thats the question for me

still spose it could be allwheel drive type. regardless, its not my cuppa.
