wow you painted this yourself? you didn't just do it in the garage did you?
my beetle would need a respray sooner or later. it has 3 coats of paint right now, I only want one. I would love to go for 2 tone, possibly white on
navy blue
orange would look nice too

hey
i used paints my dad uses on the bottom of boats the manufacturer is Altec (industrial paints) so with this i had a limited choice of colours i chose
a colour they call trinidad (will get correct speeling when i get home) and as they are industrial paints every time they mix a batch it can differ a
little.
i used pure white for the top was gonna use a white with a greyish tint in it but thought just pure white will do!
i wanted it to be factory colour "marine gulb" but this is the only real orange i could find!!
its a great colour to cause it looks bright in the dark and dullish in the bright!
cheers

G'day Rhys,
Bus is looking great, love the colour, you've done a great job on it, looking forward to seeing the finished product. What sort of mags are you
putting on. You getting rid of the Ford rims?
Cheers, Ian. |

lookin goooooooood
I love this colour sheam for a kombi, I used to see heaps in this colour in England as a kid but many got resprayed over the years as the orange was
too "retro" now retro rocks.
Was thinking of it for my 78 but have settled for another colour for now.
Keep up the good work!!!
