after putting out a small request for a bit of help, ive not heard shit.seems a bit wierd because some of you veedubbers seam pretty switched on when it comes to vdubs.if there is nobody with a good reputation in sydney for eg,with vws, maybe a club member or garage, who would be willing to look at a car for me.don,t expect any freebee,s.i,m in perth andnot that rich to jump on a plane every time i see a car that looks ok over east.there are plenty of rusting overpriced pieces of crap out there.lots of people comment on cars on here, but the people who say"yeah sweet ride".they are strangers to me.i,m joining vw club of wa which should be great for meeting some vdubb dudes.maybe they can give me some help with a contact over there.my other option is to move the east coast over here when i win the lottery, then it would be one big bug jam!

cheers for the replies.i knew someone was out there.unfortunately,i don,t mine diamonds.i fix jags and alfas and i used to kill people for a job, legally!british army.yeah,i know jags and alfas are no comparison to the sweet sound of an aircooled bug,but it puts bread on the table and will soon put a vdubb in the garage.going on my first club run tomorrow.loking forward to meeting some people and seeing some wheels.only been in oz a few months,so i get excited easily when i see some old stuff on the roads.been into vws since birth.mum n dad had new bug 6months before i was born, then gave it to me on my 17th birthday.yeah, its in the blood.

ÖH WHAT A ODOUR......TOYOTA!!!
Couldn't help myself, only amusing myself but seriously though be patient and there are lots of people on here who are only too happy to help out a fellow dubber as I've found out on a few occasions, as I too are looking to but another volksie and have been helped by a few , with a couple going right out of there way for us!!!!
Thanks heaps Volksfolks and blue-bus, these guys have HUGE help, with Volksfolks still following up our progress!
Just my 2c worth.
